Christine started training for Knightstone Housing Association in 2013 initially delivering one training session. This evaluated very positively and more training was commissioned resulting in the delivery of several full day courses for front line staff in 2014.
Now this personal safety course is an established part of the training calendar with regular sessions throughout the year.
Additionally Christine was asked to design and deliver bespoke half day training for the in-house maintenance team, so that they and their managers could receive joint training as part of the same team; this would allow for the immediate implementation of principles learned in training.
The training has had a positive impact and personal safety has a higher profile within the organisation; there is more reporting of incidents of violence, aggression and unacceptable behaviour, staff routinely discuss personal safety issues at team meetings and during individual discussions, and they are robustly and consistently using the Association’s tracing systems.
‘The feedback from Chris’s training is always excellent as she is both knowledgeable and engaging and makes the subject matter relevant to all those in the group, whatever their role and life experiences. She is always flexible and responsive to our requirements, tailoring the content when necessary to the needs of our business which ensures it is a success and is applied by all those who attend’.
